Jama Silva

Jama desired to live a life of service from a very young age. At 19 years old, this desire took her to a small Bible College in Canada, where she received her Associates in Bible/Missions before moving home to work as a nanny and house-cleaner to save money for the mission field. In April 2001, her dream of living overseas became reality and Sao Paulo, Brazil became her home for six months in 2001 and three months in 2002. At that time, the doors closed in Brazil for a time, so she returned to college, completing her Bachelor’s with a double major in Theology and Intercultural Studies at William Jessup University in Rocklin, California. She was preparing to return to Brazil as a full-time missionary when a long-time, Brazilian friend asked her to consider a future with him! They were married a year and a half later in California and returned to Brazil to spend the next 11 years in vocational jobs that she always felt were unique ministry opportunities at the same time.

Three years ago God brought Jama and her little family back to California, where if anything, the desire to serve hurting people had intensified. As her own healing journey has ebbed and flowed over the years, she is very aware of the need for deep healing and wholeness at the core of each of our souls and bodies. She is passionate about the natural path to healing as she has experienced firsthand how important it is to deal with underlying concerns and not just the symptoms. Jama is thrilled to be a part of the Nutrition 16:24 team where she has the opportunity to serve people as they pursue wholesome, more natural ways to achieve the healing we all so desire.
